Is this furniture real wood or just a print? It is real timber. Usually pine for the Corona range. We don’t do those fake printed wood grains. If you see a knot in the wood, it is because it was a knot in a tree.

Does it come already built? Most of the chests and bedsides are pre-assembled. The Wardrobes usually need putting together because you would never get a triple wardrobe up a standard British staircase otherwise.

How do I stop the wood from cracking? Don’t stick it right next to a radiator or a wood burner. Wood is a natural material; it breathes. If you bake it, it will shrink. Keep the room at a normal temperature and it will be fine for decades.

Is it easy to clean? Damp cloth for dust. Every six months or so, give it a bit of wax if it looks thirsty. Don’t use those supermarket spray polishes—they are full of silicones that muck up the finish.

What if I move house, will it survive? Yes, because it has proper joints. Just take the drawers out first so you don’t break your back.
