Is it actually heavy? Yes. Do not expect to tuck this under your arm. It is solid wood, not air. If you choose standard delivery, make sure you have someone to help you get it through the door.

Does it come in pieces? No. I hate flat-pack as much as you do. It arrives as a proper unit. You might have to screw the handles on if we have tucked them inside to stop them getting snapped off in the van, but that is it.

How do I clean it? A damp cloth. Not soaking wet. And for heaven’s sake, stay away from those cheap supermarket spray polishes. They leave a nasty silicone film that ruins the finish.

Will it match my other furniture? It is a natural light oak. It plays well with most things, but wood is like people—no two pieces are identical. That is why it looks better than the uniform plastic stuff.
