How do I keep the oak looking decent? Wipe it down with a dry or slightly damp lint-free cloth, then dry it immediately. Once or twice a year, apply a thin coat of clear beeswax with a soft cloth to keep the timber from drying out. Avoid aerosol supermarket polishes because the silicone inside leaves a sticky, synthetic film over time.

Is the wardrobe going to scratch easily? It is real wood, so if you scrape keys or sharp metal buckles across it, it will mark. The good news is that because it is solid timber all the way through, you can easily sand down the area and re-wax it yourself.

Will the wardrobe doors warp or twist over time? Natural wood breathes and reacts slightly to moisture variations in the air. To prevent any excessive movement, keep your wardrobe at least a couple of feet away from direct heat sources like large radiators.

How do I choose the right wardrobe width for my bedroom layout? Measure your available wall space carefully and leave at least ten centimetres of breathing room on either side for positioning. Crucially, ensure the doors have enough physical space to swing completely open without striking your bedframe or bedside tables.

Do your wardrobes come fully assembled or flat-packed? Most of our wardrobes are delivered partially assembled in large, pre-built sections like the base unit and the main hanging carcass panels. This is entirely for access reasons so you can actually get the unit around tight stairturns or through standard bedroom doors.

Why does the wood grain look slightly different across the doors? The timber grew in a natural forest, not a chemical plant. You will see unique knots, swirling grain patterns, and subtle colour shifts across the front panels.

Can I mix this oak wardrobe with other wood types in my bedroom? Yes. You do not need matching bedroom sets like a sterile commercial hotel. Intentionally mixing different natural woods looks much more natural and lived-in as long as you keep the undertones similar.

How can I fit a large oak wardrobe into a small bedroom without crowding it? Position the unit against your longest unbroken wall or neatly into a corner alcove to preserve walking paths. Choosing our painted cream or grey oak finishes also allows the wardrobe to visually blend into your walls, making the room feel less crowded.

How do I fix a minor scratch on the lacquer finish myself? Rub a tiny amount of matching clear furniture wax or wood oil over the scratch along the direction of the grain using a soft cloth.
