Description
White Pine Wardrobe
Look, British bedrooms are notoriously tight. Whether you’re dealing with a tiny box room or a Victorian alcove, finding a wardrobe that doesn’t eat the whole floor is a nightmare.
The Corona white pine wardrobe is the solution for those awkward spots. It’s solid wood. Heavy. It’s built to actually hold your clothes without bowing in the middle like those cheap fiberboard units.
Why this works for small rooms
Most wardrobes are at least 100cm wide, which just doesn’t work in a “third bedroom.” This one is only 76.5cm wide. It’s slim enough to slide into a corner but tall enough to use the “dead air” near your ceiling.
You get a full-length hanging rail for your coats and dresses. Plus, you’ve got three drawers at the bottom for the heavy stuff like jeans or thick winter jumpers.
Solid Pine vs. The Flimsy Stuff
Here’s the thing: pine is a “buy it once” material. It’s a softwood, sure, but it’s stiff and handles a beating from kids or house moves.
And the joints matter. These drawer fronts won’t pop off the first time you overstuff them. It’s real timber. It smells like a workshop, not a chemical factory.
That “Two-Tone” Look
The body is finished in a clean white, but the top is natural waxed pine. Why does this matter? The white reflects light, making a dark room feel bigger.
But the pine top and black metal hardware give it some soul. It doesn’t look like sterile office furniture. It looks like a proper piece of home.
Keeping it in good shape
Maintenance is dead simple. Dust the white parts with a damp cloth. Every now and then, rub a little clear wax into the pine top to keep it from drying out.
And check the screws on those black ring handles once a year. They’re tough, but daily use can loosen things up. Tighten them once and you’re good for another twelve months.

FAQ
Is this wardrobe delivered fully assembled? No, it comes flat-packed because a solid wood unit this size would be impossible to get up a narrow British staircase. But once it’s together, it’s rock solid.
Does the white paint have a strong smell? Not really. It’s a quality finish. You might get a faint scent of fresh pine and wax when you first open the box, but that’s the good stuff.
Are the drawer bottoms solid? We use thick mdf for the bases. It’s much stronger than that cardboard-thin stuff you see in budget shops. It won’t sag under the weight of your jumpers.
Do I need to fix it to the wall? Yes. It’s nearly 1.9 metres tall and relatively narrow. For safety—especially if you have kids—always use the wall strap.
Will the doors stay aligned? Because it’s solid wood, it stays square. If your floor is uneven, you might need a tiny shim under one corner, but the hinges are heavy-duty and built to last.
“Finally, a wardrobe that fits in our spare room without blocking the door. It’s proper wood, too—you can feel the weight when you open the drawers. Took a couple of hours to build, but it’s not going anywhere. Solid kit.”
