Does the paint smell? It’s fresh wood and fresh paint. It might have a bit of a scent for a day or two, but just crack a window. It’s not toxic chemicals, just the smell of new furniture.

Is it actually solid wood? Yes. It’s not that compressed sawdust stuff. You can feel the weight of it when you try to lift it. That’s why it lasts.

What if I scratch it? That’s the best part about painted wood. You can just get a matching touch-up pen or a tiny pot of paint and it’s gone. You can’t do that with laminate.

Does it come in one piece? Most of it does. Some of the bigger wardrobes might need a bit of assembly so they actually fit up your stairs, but the drawers and smaller bits are usually good to go.

Will the colour fade in the sun? Everything fades if you leave it in direct sunlight for ten years, but we use decent quality finishes. It’ll hold its own.
