Corona Pine Wardrobes

People always ask me if pine is too soft. Aye, it will scratch if the kids decide to use it as a racetrack for their toy cars. It is wood, not granite. But that is the point. It has got character. You cannot get that from a flat-pack box made of sawdust and glue. If you are after Wardrobes that can take a bit of a beating from a busy family, this stuff does the job. It is solid. It is heavy. Don’t try moving it on your own unless you fancy a trip to the osteopath.

It is the buy it once mentality without needing a second mortgage. It has those black studs and the waxed finish. It is a bit old world, isn’t it? Not everyone’s cup of tea. If you want a white gloss television unit, you are in the wrong place. But if you want something that smells like a proper workshop and actually lasts, then you are sorted. It won’t look brand new in ten years, but it will still be standing. That is more than I can say for the cheap bits and bobs you find at the big blue Swedish shop.

Common Questions

Does it come flat-packed? Most of it does, yes. It is solid wood but you will need a screwdriver and a bit of patience. Or a handy mate.

Will the wood split? It is a natural product. If you stick it right next to a roaring radiator, it might move a bit. That is just what wood does.

Is the back made of cardboard? No. We use proper plywood or solid slats. None of that flimsy stuff that pops out the moment you put a jumper in.

How do I get rid of scratches? Bit of wax and a cloth. Pine is forgiving like that. You can sand it down and start again if you really mess it up.

Is it actually heavy? Yes. Get someone to help you carry it up the stairs. Your knees will thank you later.
