Why these white and wooden chairs actually survive a family kitchen
I have spent far too many years in this workshop looking at furniture that was built to look good in a photo and fall apart the second a toddler climbs on it. It is frustrating. If you want something that stays pristine forever, go buy a plastic stool. If you want something that actually handles a Sunday roast and a decade of use, you need something with a bit of weight to it. These white and wooden chairs are exactly that. They are heavy, they are solid, and they do not wobble.
We use Solid Oak for the seats because it is hard-wearing. The body is painted white, which looks clean enough, but let’s be honest, it will get the odd scuff over time. That is just what happens in a real home. These are part of the Barcelona Oak range, so they have got that chunky, reliable feel that I prefer. No one wants to sit down for dinner and wonder if the chair legs are going to splay out.
I see people buying cheap sets all the time and then coming to me six months later asking if I can fix a snapped rail. I usually can’t. It is better to just buy it once and be done with it. These work well as Dining Chairs or even tucked into a corner of the hallway. If you are kitting out your Kitchen Furniture, these match up with most things without being too flashy. They arrive fully built. I have no patience for flat-pack and I assume you don’t either. You just take them out of the box and put them round your oak dining table. Job sorted.
“Proper solid chairs. They don’t creak when my husband sits on them, which is a first. The white paint is a nice thick coat, not that thin watery stuff you see elsewhere.”

Common Questions
Do I have to build these myself? No. I don’t have time for that and I don’t expect you to either. They arrive at your door fully assembled and ready to use.
Is the white paint going to chip off immediately? It’s a hard-wearing finish, but it’s paint, not armour plating. If you bash it with a heavy pan, it might mark. That’s just the nature of painted furniture.
Is the seat actually comfortable for long periods? It’s a wooden seat. It’s supportive and ergonomic, but it’s not a sofa. If you’re planning on sitting there for a six-hour board game marathon, you might want a cushion.
Why is there a minimum order of two? Shipping a single chair is a nightmare. They tend to get knocked about more in the van when they’re on their own. Sending them in pairs keeps them safe and keeps the delivery costs sensible.
Will the oak seat match my existing table? It’s a natural grain with a light stain. Every piece of oak is a bit different because it grew in a forest, not a lab. It’ll be close, but don’t expect a 100% identical match to a table from a different factory.
