Why you probably need a 200cm sideboard (and why you might not)
I have spent the better part of twenty years in a workshop, and I can tell you right now, people always underestimate the size of a 200cm sideboard until it is stuck in their hallway. It is two metres of Solid Oak. That is a lot of tree. If you have got a massive wall to fill in the dining room, great. It will look the part. If you are trying to squeeze it into a narrow corridor, do not bother. You will just end up bruised.

The thing about these Sideboards is they are built to last. I am talking kid-proof. My own lot have bashed everything from heavy toys to cricket bats against our furniture, and the oak just takes it. It might get a scratch or a ring from a wet glass if you are lazy with the coasters, but that is the nature of the beast. You can always sand it back or give it a rub with some Oak Sideboard Care: Protecting Your Investment. It is wood, not plastic. It has character, which is just a fancy way of saying it is not perfect.
I do not do corporate fluff. This 200cm sideboard isn’t going to “transform your life” or “elevate your soul.” It is a box with doors and drawers. But it is a bloody good box. It holds the “good” plates you only use once a year, the board games with half the pieces missing, and all the other bits and bobs that clutter up the kitchen. It is heavy because it is Oak Castle Furniture quality. No flimsy bits. No wobbling.
If you are looking for something smaller because you live in a flat that’s more of a shoe box, maybe check out a 100cm wide sideboard instead. But if you have the space, this is the “buy it once” option. I am tired of seeing people buy cheap flat-pack rubbish that ends up in a skip after two years. This won’t. It will probably outlast me.

Common Questions
Will it fit through my front door? Check your measurements. Then check them again. It is 200cm long. If you have a tight turn in your hallway, you are going to have a bad time. Measure the door frame and any corners before you hit buy.
Is it actually solid wood? Yes. No paper stickers or flimsy backboards that pop out after a month. It is heavy, it is sturdy, and it smells like a workshop, not a chemical factory.
Can I put a massive TV on it? Easily. It will not bow in the middle like those Swedish flat-packs. Just make sure you do not scratch the top when you are sliding the base around.
Does it come in a thousand pieces? No. Most of our Oak Living Room Furniture comes fully assembled. I hate Allen keys. You should too.
How do I stop it from marking? Use a coaster. Honestly, it is not hard. If you do spill something, wipe it up straight away. If you leave a puddle of red wine on it overnight, it will stain. It is wood, not glass.
