Description
Real Solid Wood Nest of Tables: Built to Last, Not to Look Pretty in a Brochure
We make these tables in our workshop out of proper wood.
They are heavy, they will get scratched if your kids run toy cars over them, and the grain pattern on the top of yours won’t look exactly like the one in the photo. That is because trees do not grow in a factory.
If you only need a solid oak nest of 2 tables, you can just tuck the smallest one away in a cupboard or use it as a plant stand in the corner until you have guests over and need the extra space.
We do not use cheap flat-pack dowels that wobble after three weeks. These come pre-assembled because we do not trust customers to glue joints properly, and quite frankly, we prefer doing the job right ourselves.
They are finished in a simple lacquer to stop your tea mugs from leaving immediate rings, but use a coaster anyway.
If you want something larger to match, have a look at our Living Room Coffee Tables or maybe some Bedside Tables if you are planning to split the set up across different rooms.
“No nonsense tables. Heavy, solid, and they do not wobble when you put a cup of tea down. Arrived fully assembled so I didn’t have to spend my Saturday afternoon swearing at an instruction manual.”

FAQ
Common Questions
- How do I clean these tables? Use a damp cloth and wipe it dry. Do not use harsh chemical sprays or bleach because you will strip the lacquer right off the timber.
- When will they arrive? Standard delivery takes up to five business days. If you choose premium, we will call you to book a day and carry them to your room.
- Do I need to wax them? A bit of clear beeswax once every six months stops the wood from drying out. Do not overdo it, or the surface will get sticky.
- Will hot mugs burn the wood? Yes, if you put a boiling hot mug straight onto the bare wood, it will leave a white ring. Use a coaster.
- Can I use them outside? Absolutely not. These are indoor tables, and the rain will ruin the joints in days.
Pre-Purchase Questions
- Are these tables sturdy enough to sit on? They are built to hold drinks, lamps, and books, not to be used as step ladders. The large table holds up to thirty kilos, which is plenty for daily life.
- Why does the wood grain look different from the photo? Every oak tree has its own knots and grain lines. Your set will be unique, which is the whole point of buying real timber.
- Do these tables wobble on carpets? No, they are heavy enough to sit flat. If your floorboards are uneven, you might need a small felt pad under one leg, but the tables themselves are square.
Troubleshooting & Styling
- How do I match these with my existing darker furniture? Wood does not have to match perfectly to look good. The natural oak tone blends fine with darker woods because it acts as a neutral mid-tone.
- How do I make a small room feel less cluttered with these? Slide them all back together into one neat stack when you are not using them. It keeps the floor space clear.
- How do I fix a scratch on the top? For light scratches, rub a little clear wax or scratch-repair oil over the mark with a soft cloth. If it is deep, you might need a light sand and re-lacquer, but that is the beauty of solid wood—you can actually repair it.
