How long does standard delivery take?
Standard delivery takes up to 5 business days. We send you full tracking details as soon as the chest leaves our depot so you can monitor its journey.

How do I clean and maintain the oak?
Just dust it with a dry microfibre cloth for regular cleaning. Once a year, give it a light coat of clear furniture wax to keep the timber hydrated and protected.

Does it come fully assembled?
Yes, it arrives at your door completely built by our team. You do not have to worry about missing screws or spending your Saturday afternoon reading confusing instructions.

What should I do if a drawer feels stiff initially?
Wood is a natural material that reacts to moisture. If a drawer feels slightly tight when first delivered, rub a little candle wax or paraffin wax along the wooden runners to make it slide smoothly.

Can I place this chest right next to a radiator?
We advise keeping solid timber furniture at least 30cm away from direct heat sources like radiators. Constant intense heat can cause natural timber to dry out and shrink over time.

It is very heavy because it is solid oak. We strongly advise using our Premium delivery service so our drivers can carry it to your room of choice, as lifting it upstairs yourself is a two-person job.

Every piece of oak has its own unique grain patterns, knots, and colour variations. This means your chest will have its own individual character, which is the beauty of real timber.

How do I know if this chest will fit through my stairs?
You must measure the narrowest parts of your hallway, doorways, and stair turns before ordering. Compare these to the dimensions in our specification table to make sure the delivery team can physically fit the unit into your home.

How can I blend this oak chest with darker furniture already in my room?
You do not need matching wood tones for a room to look good. Placing a darker lamp or some dark photo frames on top of the oak chest helps tie the different wood tones together naturally.

How can I fit an extra large chest of drawers into a smaller room without it taking over?
Keep the wall behind the chest a light colour to prevent the room from feeling cramped. Keeping the top of the chest clear of clutter also helps maintain a sense of space.

What is the easiest way to fix a scratch on the finish?
For minor surface scratches, rub a little matching furniture wax or scratch-repair oil directly into the scratch with a soft cloth. This will darken the exposed wood and blend it back in with the surrounding finish.
