Description
Why you should stop buying flat-pack junk and get a real solid oak tv stand
I have spent twenty years in workshops and showrooms, and frankly, I am tired of seeing people waste their hard-earned cash on bits of compressed cardboard masquerading as furniture. If you want something that actually survives a toddler with a plastic hammer or a heavy telly without sagging in the middle, you need Solid Oak.
This particular solid oak tv stand isn’t just for show. It has a white painted body and a proper oak top that shows the grain. It is heavy. Really heavy. Do not try to move it on your own unless you fancy a trip to the physio. We call it part of the Heritage Oak style, but between you and me, it is just built the way things used to be. No swaying. No wobbling.
It arrives at your door pre-assembled. I know for a fact you have better things to do on a Saturday than swear at a confusing manual and a tiny Allen key. You just get it out of the box and it is sorted.
The Oak Living Room Furniture we put out is meant to be used by real families. Stuff your remotes, controllers, and all those random bits and bobs into the cupboards. Hide the mess. The paint is tough, but keep in mind it is still wood—if you bash it with the hoover every morning, it will mark eventually. That is the trade-off for having something authentic in your house instead of plastic.
If you are looking to match the rest of the house, we have got Barcelona Oak bits for other rooms too. We even do Bedroom Furniture like Wardrobes and Beds frames if you want the same “buy it once” quality elsewhere. Just get it right the first time and you won’t be replacing it in two years when the hinges fall off.

Common Questions I Get Asked
Is the whole thing actually solid wood? Yes. I wouldn’t sell it otherwise. The top is oak and the frame is solid wood. We don’t do that flimsy backboard stuff that pops out if you look at it funny.
Will my 65-inch TV fit on this? Check the dimensions below. It is 110cm wide. If your TV stand legs are wider than that, you’ll have a problem. Measure twice, buy once.
How do I clean the oak top? Don’t use those nasty supermarket sprays. A damp cloth and a bit of decent furniture wax once or twice a year is all it needs to keep the grain looking right.
Is the white paint going to yellow? No, it’s a modern finish. But look, if you leave it in direct, scorching sunlight for ten years, everything fades eventually. Use a bit of common sense with where you put it.
Can I change the handles? You could, but the ones on there are decent. If you want to faff about with a screwdriver, that’s your business, but they are standard fit.
“Finally, a unit that doesn’t feel like it’s made of paper. It took two of us to get it into the corner because of the weight, but it looks proper. The white paint is a nice clean finish.”
