Description
Solid Oak Coffee Table with Drawers – Real, Heavy Wood
Look, if you want something that looks brand new and sterile forever, go buy a plastic table. This is real wood.
Our oak coffee table with drawers is heavy, stubborn, and built to survive real life. We build it using solid oak and real oak veneer because we want it to last, not end up in a landfill after three years of kids kicking it.
It has got natural grain, knots, and colour shifts. Every single piece we make is slightly different, so do not expect a uniform block of laminate.
If you cannot live with a bit of natural character, this is not for you.
The two drawers are there to shove your remotes, coasters, and old junk into so your room looks halfway tidy when people drop by. We used simple wood-on-wood runners. They do not have fancy soft-close features, but they also will not snap or rust like cheap metal slides.
Mind your back when it arrives. It is heavy, and you will need two people to move it into place.
Make sure you get your tape measure out before ordering. It is 120cm wide, which is a decent chunk of floor space, and we do not want you realising it blocks your walkway after we have delivered it.
If you want to match it with other bits, you can look at our Living Room Coffee Tables section, but do not feel you have to match everything perfectly. Real homes are not supposed to look like glossy catalogues anyway.
How It Compares
| Feature | Our Solid Oak Table | Cheap Flat-Pack Alternatives |
|---|---|---|
| Durability | Heavy wood. Survives kids, pets, and boots. | Cardboard core. Snaps if someone sits on it. |
| Cost | More upfront, but you only buy it once. | Cheap, but you replace it in two years. |
| Maintenance | Easy. Needs a wipe. Scratches can be waxed out. | Impossible to fix once the plastic peel lifts. |
“This thing is a beast. Took two of us to carry it into the living room, but it doesn’t budge when the kids run into it. Proper solid furniture.”

Common Questions
How do I clean this coffee table daily?
Just wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemical sprays or bleach, as they will strip the finish over time.
When will my table arrive after ordering?
Standard delivery takes up to five business days. If you choose premium, we will call you to book a specific day that suits.
Do I need to wax this oak table?
Yes, give it a light coat of clear furniture wax every six months. It keeps the wood hydrated and stops it from drying out in warm rooms.
What happens if I spill water on it?
Wipe it up immediately. If you leave a wet glass sitting on it overnight, you will get a ring mark.
Is this table delivered fully built?
It requires minimal assembly to attach the legs. It takes about ten minutes, and you won’t need any special tools.
Pre-Purchase Questions
Is a 120cm wide coffee table too big for my room?
Measure your sofa first. Ideally, your coffee table should be about two-thirds of the length of your sofa to look right and leave enough walking space.
Will the wood grain look exactly like the pictures?
No, because it is real wood. Every piece has different knots, swirls, and colour variations, which is the whole point of buying oak.
How sturdy is this table if my kids sit on it?
We test it up to eighty kilograms. It is built with solid joints and will not wobble, but we still do not recommend using it as a bench.
Troubleshooting & Styling
How do I mix this oak table with my darker pine or walnut furniture?
Do not worry about matching everything perfectly. Mixing wood tones actually looks more natural and less like you bought a cheap showroom set.
How can I style a large oak table so it does not make a small room feel crowded?
Keep the tabletop clear of heavy clutter. A simple tray or a single book is enough to keep it looking open and spacious.
How do I address minor scratches and scuffs on the finish myself?
Rub a bit of matching wax polish over the mark. For deeper cuts, a light sand and a re-coat of clear wax will sort it out.
