If you are after something flimsy that you can assemble with a hex key in twenty minutes, you are in the wrong place. This is a proper Oak Sideboard made from Solid Oak. It turns up at your door already put together because I don’t trust most people with a screwdriver, and frankly, life is too short for flat-pack.

It has got plenty of room inside for your plates, the good cutlery you never use, and all those random bits and bobs that end up cluttering the kitchen table. The top is thick. You can put a massive TV on it, or a stack of heavy books, and it won’t bow. Try doing that with a cheap bit of chipboard from the high street.

Common Questions I Get Asked

How do I get this thing into my house? It’s heavy. Don’t try to be a hero. If you’ve got a narrow hallway, measure it twice. Our premium delivery team can do the heavy lifting for you, which is probably for the best if you value your carpet and your lower back.

Will the colour change over time? Yes. It’s a natural product. If you stick it in direct sunlight under a south-facing window, it’ll mellow. That’s not a flaw, it’s character.

Is it actually solid wood? Every bit that matters is. I don’t deal in that paper-thin stuff that peels off at the corners. If I wouldn’t put it in my own house, I won’t sell it to you.

Do the drawers stick? Not if you treat them right. We use proper joinery. Wood expands and contracts with the weather, so if it’s a bit stiff in a damp winter, that’s just the wood doing its thing.

What if I spill something on it? Wipe it up. Don’t let it sit. If you leave a damp glass on it overnight, you’ll get a ring. It’s wood, not granite. Use a coaster and don’t be daft.
