Is it actually solid wood? If you buy from us, yes. I’ve no time for bits of cardboard glued together. Our Oak Castle Furniture range is built to be structural, meaning it won’t wobble after a year.

How do I get rid of a water ring? Use a coaster next time. But if the damage is done, a bit of fine wire wool and some fresh wax usually does the trick. Don’t go sanding it with a power tool unless you know what you’re doing.

Does it come assembled? Most of it does. I hate flat-pack as much as you do. If it says pre-assembled, it arrives as a solid unit. You just have to get it through the door.

Is it kid-proof? Nothing is 100% kid-proof, but oak is as close as you’ll get. It takes a lot of effort to actually break a solid oak leg or drawer.
