This range uses proper joinery. It’s got those black metal studs and hinges that look a bit rustic—some call it “distressed,” I just call it practical. Is this furniture actually solid wood?
Yes. It’s solid pine. No flimsy boards on the back that pop out after a month. It’s built to stay together, which is more than I can say for most things these days.

Will the grey finish scratch off easily?
It’s a wax-based finish, not a thick plastic paint. If you drag a knife across it, yes, it’ll scratch. But because it’s a wash, you can usually touch it up without it looking like a botched DIY job.

Is it hard to put together?
It’s not rocket science, but it takes a bit of patience. The instructions are clear enough, just don’t rush it and make sure you’ve got a proper screwdriver, not a butter knife.

Why does it have those black studs?
That’s the “Corona” look. They’re inspired by traditional Mexican joinery. They aren’t just for show; they help keep things tight and give it that rugged feel.

Is the colour a “true” grey?
It’s a cool-toned grey. In some lights, you’ll see the warmth of the pine underneath. I think it makes it look more natural, but if you want a flat, dead grey, buy a tin of gloss paint.
