I have spent the better part of twenty years in workshops, and if there is one thing I cannot stand, it is furniture that feels like it might blow away if you sneeze too hard. Common questions I get asked

Does it come in pieces? No. Most of it is pre-assembled. I do not like spending my Saturday afternoon looking for a missing screw, and I do not expect you to either. The stool is ready to go.

Is the paint going to peel off? It is a proper finish. It is not going to flake away like cheap emulsion. But look, if you bash it with a vacuum cleaner every morning, you might get a chip. It is a house, not a museum.

How do I clean it? A damp cloth. Do not go drenching it in water or using those nasty chemical sprays. A bit of common sense goes a long way with wood.

Is it actually heavy? Yes. It is solid timber and thick panels. If you have got a bad back, get the premium delivery. Let the younger lads carry it up the stairs for you.

Will the colour match my other bits? The oak tops are a natural, warm tone. The white and grey are fairly neutral. It usually fits in fine, unless your house is decorated like a spaceship.
